When you find out you are being selected to film a wedding at little Palm Island, you already know it is going to be amazing and filled with beautiful scenery, gorgeous sunset and unique. However, nothing could have prepared us for the wedding extravaganza we walked into, rather “road boat into?” for Doree and Tony’s wedding.
Avant Gardens, based out of Miami, completely outdid themselves when it came to the setup for this wedding. Challenged with taking one of the most beautiful and private islands anywhere and dressing it up, without making it look “overdone” had to of been a daunting task. It was however, one that was handled extremely well and led to some of the best and most scenic setup shots we have ever had the chance of capturing.
Chandeliers hung between palms located steps from the open water. White chairs and a beautiful canopy draped with linens, lead guests to the ceremony site. Which may we add, the canopy also had a fully functioning chandelier hanging beneath it. It you took a wrong step in either direction, you would most likely be snorkeling in some of the most pristine waters mother nature has to offer. Scenic to say the least!
Following the ceremony, we waltzed around the island eventually making our way of course to the docks to capture an amazing sunset. We filmed in front of open water as well as Doree and Tony’s two boats which made there way all of the way down from Alabama.
Julie and her team over at Simply You Weddings did a great job keeping the wedding flowing smoothly as guests were entertained at every moment throughout the evening. Featuring a full band equipped with horn section, close family and friends of Doree and Tony danced the night away on the lovely, secluded isle that is Little Palm.
