Katelyn is our third Ororpeza wedding in under a year so we knew going into the day that this was going to be a blast! Katelyn and Carter’s wedding was no different and their wedding video certainly shows that. We met up with Katelyn + Carter early in the day to capture some of the pre-ceremony moments. From there, we headed over to St. Mary’s for the ceremony. The couple had a traditional Catholic ceremony with family and friends in attendance.
After the ceremony, we were able to take the entire wedding party around Key West for some fun shots and then ended up at the Casa-Marina Resort to celebrate at the reception. I had been briefed by the father of the bride the night before at the rehersal dinner, that a special toast and gift was going to be presented to Katelyn at the wedding. I think I was one of maybe three people who knew what was going to happen and I was really excited to capture the moment on video. In short, Katelyn grew up with her favorite “blankey” that she carried everywhere she went. Eventually her older brother hid it while on a family vacation, never to be seen again. So what is a father to do? How about learning how to crochet and presenting a new “blankey” to your daughter at her wedding. It was an amazing moment to say the least!
